KITTIE: New Video Interview Available
March 19, 2010Evil G. of BareBonesMusic.com recently conducted an interview with guitarist/vocalist Morgan Lander of the Canadian all-girl metal band KITTIE. Morgan talks about the chemistry within the band and how that affected the creation of the group's latest album, "In The Black". The frontwoman also discusses KITTIE's back-to-back music video shoots and the reason behind the "too-hot-for-TV" version of "Sorrow I Know", the upcoming third music video, and how Morgan and her drumming sister, Mercedes, grew up in the public eye since the late '90s. Watch the chat below.
KITTIE will support INSANE CLOWN POSSE on a U.S. tour in May/June. Also scheduled to appear on the bill are COOLIO, NECRO and KOTTONMOUTH KINGS.
Commented KITTIE guitarist/vocalist Morgan Lander: "We are very excited to finally have our first support slot in over 10 years be with one of the biggest cult bands of all time."
"We can't wait to play to an entirely different audience, spray some bitches with Faygo and have a hell of a lot of fun this summer!"
KITTIE stated in a February 25 tweet about the upcoming trek, "Finally a band with enough balls to take us on tour!"
In a recent interview with RockMusicStar.com, Morgan Lander stated about KITTIE's touring plans, "We have some stuff that's coming down the pipe right now. But nothing is 100% confirmed, so I really can't give you any guarantee. But expect to see us out on a touring, festival kind of tour in July and August. And there’s some other things as well, that hopefully will be happening in September. But with this industry, you don't really know if it's actually going to happen or not, until you are standing on the stage. It's crazy."
